The story of TC Industries, Inc. is an example of making quick improvements and keeping them. The sudden and momentous change of the management, people, and culture is clearly seen. TC Industries had a crisis and didn’t want to be a casualty.

The scope of this presentation is a ‘how to’ approach to assigning priorities to your Lean implementation. The presentation will answer the following questions. What role does leadership plan in the Lean process? How severe is the crisis? What should I do first? What do I do when everything seems urgent? How do I get my company through this Lean Emergency? What were our lessons learned?

During the last three years of TC Industries' Lean implementation it recorded a 99% reduction in past due parts, a 75% reduction in total cycle time, and a 76% increase in on time delivery.

Eldon Johnson, Operations Manager

Eldon Johnson is a 23 year employee of TC Industries that has held positions in Engineering, Production Management, and Lean Production Systems. He has a degree in Industrial Business and has participated in the AME, SME, SAE, IIE, and IIR societies. He has been a Lean conference presenter at the annual AME conference in Dallas, the Canadian AME conference in Edmonton, the IIR (Institute for International Research) Lean conference in Chicago, and the Interlog conference in Orlando.
